No dice strategy beats the house edge: every bet returns 99% of its stake on average, whatever the bet size or win chance. What a strategy does change is the shape of the session, meaning how often you finish in profit and how often you go broke on the way. Below, six popular autobet setups are tested over 10,000 simulated sessions each, and every one can be loaded into the simulator with one click.
Six dice strategies tested over 10,000 sessions
Every session starts with a 100 USDT balance and a 1 USDT base bet, and uses the standard crypto dice rules: a roll from 0.00 to 100.00 and a payout of 99 divided by the win chance. A session counts as broke when the next bet is bigger than the balance, which is the same point where the simulator’s autobet stops.

Flat bet at 2×
The baseline. After 1,000 bets 36.4% of sessions are in profit and only 0.5% go broke, because a 1 USDT bet never threatens a 100 USDT balance. The median session ends at 90 USDT: it put about 1,000 USDT through the game and the 1% edge kept roughly 10.
Martingale at 2×
Double the bet after every loss, go back to 1 USDT after a win. It feels unbeatable at first: after 100 bets 52.8% of sessions are up, most of them by 30 to 50 USDT. But from a 100 USDT balance, six losses in a row cost 63 USDT and the next doubled bet (64 USDT) no longer fits. That streak arrives in 46.4% of sessions within 100 bets and in 94.2% within 1,000.
Reverse Martingale at 2×
Double the bet after every win, go back to 1 USDT after a loss. Without a cap on the streak, every run of wins ends with a loss that gives the whole run back plus the base bet: win 1, 2 and 4, lose 8, and you are down exactly 1 USDT. That is why the median session loses 49 USDT in 100 bets and every one of the 10,000 sessions was broke before bet 1,000. With a stop-on-profit target it becomes a lottery ticket: small, frequent losses in exchange for a rare long streak.
98% win chance, flat
It looks like the safe choice, since you win 98 rolls in 100. The balance barely moves, and that is exactly the problem: after 1,000 bets the median session sits at 90 USDT, the same loss as flat betting at 2×, but only 1.0% of sessions are in profit, against 36.4% at 2×.
3× with +50% on loss
A softer Martingale: each win pays 3×, and the bet grows by half after a loss instead of doubling. The slower growth survives more losing rolls, but at a 33% win chance long losing streaks are also far more common. 48.2% of sessions went broke within 100 bets and 92.9% within 1,000, with a median final balance of 33.11 USDT.
10% win chance, flat
High payout, long droughts: at a 10% win chance, any given stretch of 20 rolls has a 12% chance of containing no win at all. After 1,000 bets 42.3% of sessions are in profit, the highest rate in the test, but 31.6% ran the balance below the 1 USDT bet along the way, and the median is 80.10 USDT.
Is a 98% win chance a low-risk dice strategy?
It is low risk in one sense only: the balance moves slowly. It is not low risk in the sense that matters, because the house edge is a percentage of every bet, not of every loss. At 98% each win pays 1.0102×, so a winning roll returns about 1% of the bet while a losing roll costs all of it, and over time the two net out to the same 1% loss as any other win chance.
In the test, 80% of the 98% sessions finished 1,000 bets between 83.9 and 95.1 USDT. The spread is tight, but it is tight around a loss: a strategy that almost never swings up cannot finish ahead. Players often pair it with a large “on loss” increase to win back the rare loss, which only works while the balance can fund a bet about 100 times larger than the base, and turns one bad roll into a big one.
Dice autobet settings explained
Number of bets is how many rolls autobet plays before stopping; 0 keeps going until another rule stops it. On win and On loss either reset the bet to your base amount or increase it by a percentage: +100% doubles it, which is Martingale on loss and Reverse Martingale on win. Stop on profit and Stop on loss end the session once your result for that session crosses the amount you set.
Of all these, stop on loss is the only one that limits damage. Stop on profit changes where a session ends, not what it is worth on average: a session stopped at +20 USDT is balanced by others that never get there.
How the odds work in crypto dice
The payout is 99 divided by the win chance, so every setting returns 99% of the stake on average. The part players underestimate is how often losing streaks happen at the lower win chances:
| Win chance | Payout | Chance the next 5 rolls all lose | Chance the next 10 rolls all lose |
|---|---|---|---|
| 98% | 1.01× | <0.001% | <0.001% |
| 90% | 1.1× | <0.001% | <0.001% |
| 75% | 1.32× | 0.098% | <0.001% |
| 49.5% | 2× | 3.3% | 0.108% |
| 33% | 3× | 13.5% | 1.8% |
| 10% | 9.9× | 59.0% | 34.9% |
Does this work on Stake Dice?
Yes, the maths is the same. Stake’s Dice, like the dice originals at most crypto casinos, pays 99 divided by the win chance, so the numbers above apply as they are. What changes between casinos is the minimum bet, the maximum profit per bet, and whether bonus funds can be wagered on originals at all, which is worth checking before playing a bonus through dice.
Where to play crypto dice
These casinos run their own dice originals and accept crypto deposits. Check the bonus terms first: some welcome bonuses exclude originals from wagering.
